I have been doing subtitles for 2 years with this app in FCP X, and it is a time saver. Only takes 2 steps and that it. Everything is mounting in my timeline, very quick. I’m happy with this app, is very solid and never let me dawn.

…The one feature needed: make a possibility to load MORE than one subtitle on a FCP X timeline. It’s useful for self-control when make voiceover (one subtitle is common, another - personal for work). All the rest - FINE! :)

Simple to use and quite effective. I had subtitles - srt file - that needed to be inserted into a film. As FCP doesn’t deal with srt and Premiere deals rather poorly with it, my only option (being on a very tight schedule) was to revert back to XML, import XML into FCP and create a new export of the film featuring the burnt-in subs. Final SRT really saved the day, and even pinpointed a timecode issue that was easily fixed with a text editor. This app runs flawlessly with FCP7 once you understand how to proceed. There’s an excellent tutorial on YouTube for that matter. Kudos to Bin Liu. I will definitely have a look at your other apps.

We bought the program because of the promising tutorial but sadly it is not working with our project. 19 min documentary - tough deadline. Instead of a project including all subtitles we get a warning saying we would have to do some work on the XML file. We do not have time for this right now. So in the end it might work but I cannot recommend it if you want an out of the box solution. Unfortunately we’ll have to buy another more promising app...

Seems to screw up the timecode of the imported SRT file then tries to send you to upgrade to an editor to fix the errors it found (created?) The SRT file in question was created by SubtitleExtractor and works perfectly in Aegisub keeping exactly the same timecode values. After importing an FCP created XML file it keeps asking for one with a Title when that is precisely what it is working with. I invested in XTI Subtitle Importer to produce an FCPXML file which Final SRT finally accepted for processing rather than a file output by FCP itself. The fact that I had to purchase another converter to create an acceptable FCPXML file for this program to work with seems somewhat redundant. Although considerably more expensive, XTI Subtitle Importer worked very well. So not sure how best to rate this program other than “buyer beware".

Someone said it was expensive. Ten bucks? Please. I guess compared to “free” it’s quite expensive. You get what you pay for. Very easy to use and works well for my FCP X. I use it for work.

First, this software is not expensive. Its already saved me a lot of time and is well worth it. Also I had an issue related to file compatability and emailed support. Alex emailed me back quickly and helped me fix the problem. Great software and support. Recommended.

It’s great to have an App that lets you control your subtitle files and easily bring them into FCP. In the indie world, where we all have to do everything ourselves, apps like this one that simplify the process and are user friendly, are time and life savers.

Simple UI and absolutely no options, unlike "X-Title Importer”, but works just as you would expect. Previous version had a bug that would round timings to integer seconds (i.e. ignore sub-seconds). Reported it to developer, who fixed it within days.

Saved me a lot of hassle

Adding subtitle in FCP manually can be a nightmare. This app saved me from doing that. It works well when you follow the instruction on the website.

I was skeptical about this app since I’ve tried a dozen different once that claimed to do the same that were so complicated and confusing and never actually work in generating a file that FCP X would recognize. This app worked wonderfully and I was able to set the font type and size in an xml template just like the video tutorial showed. Super easy to use and it works perfectly. Thanks Alex!

Used this app for a long time. This upgrade solve a bug of SRT formatting. Instead of showing that annoying in the subtitles, it deletes all formatting symbols and ignores all formatting. It’s better for me to map the formatting to FCPX formatting. Anyway, it’s a good app.

OS X EI Captain; fxp X 10.1.4 I downloaded the Final SRT and SRT edit pro. I successfully dragged the xml from my fcp and the srt from srt edit pro, and Clicked export. But nothing happened. I found Im the first one to find this problem. I expect the help from developer. Thank you ____ perfectly solved! Just because my project is to complicate.
